Feeling Overwhelmed? Take Back Control with This Simple System Now.
Do you ever feel like running on a treadmill that’s a little too fast? No matter how much you do, the to-do list never seems to shrink. It’s exhausting—and it’s not just in your head.
This week has been one of those weeks.
The kind where everything goes wrong at once:
Deadlines pile up
Unexpected problems pop up
Every single f**cking task is urgent
No matter how hard you push, it’s like trying to plug a hole in a sinking boat with a bare hand.
The stress is real, and the consequences of falling behind make it worse.
Luckily I created a simple system to help me battle these weeks from hell.
But why should you care?
The Toll of Constant Overwhelm
Feeling always behind isn’t just stressful. It has a negative impact on your entire life.
It affects everything from your sleep quality to your relationships, leading to procrastination, frustration and ultimately burnout.
Unfortunately, this is not a rare situation at all.
The Modern-Day Dilemma
We live in a world bursting with information and opportunities. While exciting, this constant pressure leads to decision fatigue.
This weariness is paralyzing.
Trying to do it all results in doing nothing at all.
A 3-Step System to Regain Focus Instantly
After years of battling these overwhelming situations, I discovered a simple yet powerful method to reclaim control:
Brain Dump – Write everything down. Our brains can only hold a limited number of tasks at once. Offloading your thoughts onto paper (or an app) clears mental space and reduces anxiety.
Prioritize – Time is finite. Say NO to distractions. Choose 1-3 key tasks to focus on, and let go of the rest.
Deep Focus Mode – Work on one task for 90 minutes, free from distractions. Set a timer, silence notifications, and immerse yourself. Afterward, take a break and repeat.
Start Today—One Step at a Time
Regaining control isn’t about waiting for the right moment; it’s about instant progress.
This is what I want you to do now:
Brain dump everything on your mind (the closest scrap of paper and old stolen pen from your colleague will do), choose one priority, and try just one 90-minute deep work session ASAP.
You’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish.
Let me know how it goes—I’d love to hear your experience!
